WILD PLANET FOODS – PACKAGING REDESIGN

Packaging redesign and logo refresh for Wild Planet Foods.

Project Brief: Redesign the packaging of a chosen product and maintain all existing information present on the original package.

My redesign for Wild Planet Foods aims to make the brand’s packaging more contemporary. Helping achieve this is a logo refresh and the use of natural, recycled paper, to fit in with the sustainability goals of Wild Planet Foods.

LOGO REFRESH

The refreshed logo maintains the familiarity of the original, but now has a cleaner aesthetic.

The direction of the leading lines formed by the leaf and waves have been reversed to make a clockwise direction, signifying the forwardness of nature’s cyclical processes.

The brush lettering adds a humanistic touch to the design, which helps connect it with the “nature” aspect of the brand.



PACKAGING REDESIGN

One aspect shared with the original package (left) and the redesign (right) is the color system. The blue represents the colors of the ocean, while the colored accent stripes are associated with the flavor of the product.
